3D Model of a Waka Hourua

Kia ora, welcome back or welcome to my blog. Today I will be talking about the 3d model I made of a Waka Hourua. A Waka Hourua is a double hulled canoe. In social sciences we have been learning about Māori migration from Southeast Asia to Aotearoa. We have learnt about the Waka Māori used and this week we have made a 3d model of a Waka Hourua.

I worked by myself to make simple and sleek design. I used purple, green and tan for my colours. The hulls were triangular and purple, the paddle was green, the rest of it was tan and the sail was made of a purple fabric square.  I added a piece of yarn to make it pretty and I used some hot glue to make it sturdy. I found this a lot of fun and I am excited to see how it will flout.

What do you think of my Waka Haurua?

Why is Hydro-Electricity so important to NZ

Kia ora welcome back or welcome to my blog. Today I will be answering the question ‘Why is Hydro-Electricity so important to NZ.’ For social studies we have been learning about hydro electricity in NZ. Now time to answer the question.

There is many reasons first off is dams have already been built they are made and to big to abandon. The rain fall is so big that using this is a great for renewable energy. The fossil fuel is to expensive and not enough in  the world right now. Lastly the percentage, the amount of water energy we use is about %60 it is to much power to give up on.

here is a drawing I made of what a dam for hydro electricity  may look like:

renewable energy in the pacific ocean

Kia ora welcome back or welcome to my blog. Today I will be telling you about what kind of renewable energy would I recommend to Tuvalu and Tonga and something I made. We did this for social sciences. I would recommend  solar power a it is very common to be sunny in the pacific oceans. I also made this tally for some other work take a look.

supper easy and fun to make. What do you think  renewable energy would is the best for Tuvalu and Tonga.
